Giveaway! in celebration of over 100 followers!

Did you have a wonderful 4th of July? It was very hot here in South Bend Indiana. The temperature went up to 104°F in the afternoon and it was still close to 100°F in the evening. But it was a very beautiful Summer day. Nina went for her sleep over at friend's house. They were so excited and played whole two days together. Nina didn't seem lonely being away from us at all. But when she came home she wanted me to hug her more than usual. That was sweet.

I wasn't going to talk about Nina's sleep over today! It's a giveaway! The number of this blog followers reached to 100 in June. I haven't thought of I will make that so soon. When I started blogging in my second language English, I was pretty much nervous. I wasn't even sure if I could keep writing for a couple months. But it was a great experience to me that this blog made me being reached by people all over the world. This is gonna be a milestone for me and this blog.

So, I would like to have a little giveaway for celebrating this moment! I made a lovely embroidered pincushion for giving away. It has five layers of felt in pretty colors and I stitched a white flower on the top. If you think you like it, please enter!

To enter, I would like you to answer three questions below in your comment.
Q1. Have you ever purchased any handmade things?
Q2. What item was that?
Q2. Where did you buy it? On line? Craft fair? Or at a real shop?

And of course, I would love to hear anything about crafting or your feeling about this blog too! If you are new to this blog, it would be very nice of you to be a new follower and like my Facebook page!

The deadline for this give away is Friday July 13th 2012. I will draw the winner on Saturday July 14th and inform you in my blog post who the winner is. I will ship this gift international. So I am looking forward to hearing from where ever in the world! (That is a zest of blogging!) Please don't forget to leave your email address when you write a comment. So I can reach you if you win.

Thank yo so much for being a follower. That is a big support and encouragement for me to keep sharing my creative world with you. I am so happy to be able to have the place to publish my work.

Thank you for reading. Please have a great weekend and happy crafting!

  2. It is nice that you were able to have a pleasant holiday through all of this heat. I did not realize that you are a neighbor. My place is in southern Wisconsin were we are toasting too.

    What a wonderful giveaway!

I love to buy miniature fimo scupture food jewelry on Etsy. Those little miniature creations are one of the few things that I do not make, so I "treat" myself.

Having one of your cheerful creations pop up on my blog reader is always a treat, because you make such cheerful, crisp items. You inspire me to do better with my own creations.

My email address is momwaldsplace@gmail.com, or come on over to momwaldsplace@blogspot.com to say "hi".

  3. Answering just to answer and let you know that I drop by now and then to see if you have made any new entries. You do such fun and interesting things!
We had a peaceful, at home 4th. My partner worked, so I surpised her by cleaning out the patio and buying a few picnic items. We had our first barbeque in years and just enjoyed being out in the yard. (In the Seattle area summer weather starts after 4th of July, but it was a beautiful day and just needed a sweater in the evening)

I buy handmade items as much as I can. We go to farmers markets and craft fairs and shop on etsy so food, jewelry, yarn (handspun and/or handdyed), tote bags, etc. Oh, and just recently I got two lovely crochet hooks with polymer clay handles from The Polymer Clay Shed on etsy.

Thanks for taking the risk of 'putting yourself out there', especially in a second language.

  4. Hello Hiromi! Congratulations on reaching over 100 followers! I am sure everyone is enjoying the handiwork you post as much as I do.

I have bought handmade items from local artists, local art shows, and online at etsy. The items have usually varied from ceramics to jewelery to artwork, but occasionally I'll find a scarf or even handmade shoes that are hard to resist. I like it best when I can see the item in person, and especially when I can talk to the artist too.

You can reach me on twitter should I be the lucky winner! @kimikobashi Looking forward to many more of your blog posts. :)

  5. Hello, Hiromi!
Congratulations on having over 100 followers! I am a fan of your blog.
I have always dreamed of going to Japan one day, and I think you are very brave to come to another country, make your life here and learn another language.
I have purchased many handmade items over the years, but my very favorite one was purchased at a craft fair before Christmas one year. It was a sewn doll that was 3 dolls in one: a story doll of little red riding hood, grandma and the wolf. One head was red riding hood. Tip her over and gold her dress over her head and she became grandma! Pull grandma's hat back and there was the wolf! So creative! It came with a little hard copy of the story book. My grandmother had made one when I was a child, and this one was so like it! Even the dresses were so similar. I sent it to my great neices to cherish as I did my grandmothers. My grandmother's was sent to a niece years before, when she was about your daughter's age!
I am only now learning to sew, I enjoy crochet, knitting, embroidery and beading. I love to journal. I love to sketch, and am very soon going to try painting.
You blog refreshes me and stirs in me a desire to try something new, like sewing and getting back to embroidery.
    Thank you!
